- Which vessel types does Seatrade operate?
Seatrade operates a fleet of about 100 vessels, consisting of specialised reefer vessels of various sizes and 2,200 TEU specialised reefer container vessels. All vessels are an integral part of the FDD concept.
- What is a reefer vessel?
A purpose-built ship for ocean transport of perishable and frozen cargo. Its cargo holds are equipped to keep the cargo under constant temperature control.
- Where can I find details about the vessels in your fleet?
On the fleet-page of our website you can find a list of all the vessels in our fleet. By using the filters you can narrow down your choice. When you click on the name of a specific vessel, a pdf-file containing that vessel's details will open.
- Is it possible to charter a Seatrade vessel for only one voyage?
Certainly, with a fleet of about 100 vessels, Seatrade will always have the right ship at hand to meet your requirements. Contact us for a quotation.
- Is it possible to take a Seatrade vessel on time charter for an extended period of time?
Yes, if you foresee steady cargo volumes over an extended period of time and you wish for maximum flexibility in terms of scheduling, then contact us for time charter possibilities.

- Which cargo types does Seatrade carry?
We carry mainly perishables, both palletised and containerised. Especially fruit such as bananas, pineapples and kiwis is transported on board our vessels, but also frozen commodities like fish and meat.
In addition we transport general cargo, including cars, trucks and yachts. - Can reefer vessels carry containers?
Yes, many reefer vessels have significant on-deck container capacity, for dry containers as well as reefer boxes. The temperature of the latter is also monitored on a 24/7 basis.
- Which container types and sizes can Seatrade carry?
We carry a variety of container types and sizes: 20' and 40', dry, reefern open top or flatracks. General specifications can be found in the pdf-document Container sizes and weights . Measurements for actual units may vary.
- What is the 360 Quality Code?
The 360 Quality Code lays down requirements for ships, terminals and trades that need to be followed in order to prevent damage to cargo and to control food safety hazards during the period the cargo is in the custody of the shipping line and the terminals. - Can Seatrade take care of transport to and from the vessels?
Of course, we can arrange door-to-door deliveries, including picking up of the cargo from the packing station and delivering it all the way inland to the receiver.
